Morin Repair Services – Applications – Inside Sales – Support

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing organization. MRS/MPE has had remarkable growth and energy being represented, marketed and sold throughout the United States for the last 12 years. Based in and out of Decatur Alabama this position will be directly responsible for supporting our new and aftermarket products and services primarily in the South East.

Our Processing Equipment products are targeted to multiple markets including traditional industrial, power, utilities, paper, chemical, steel, food, poultry, and mining to name a few. Our product lines range from Vertical and Horizontal Pumps, Blowers, Vacuum Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Gear pumps, Mag Drive Pumps, Gear Boxes, Plate & Frame/ Tube & Shell Heat Exchangers and more.

In this position, you will provide technical support and pricing assistance to our Regional Sales Force, End users and Clients including Reps and Distributors. You will use your technical knowledge and experience in pumps; motors & mechanical seals to assist in providing pre-sale information such as pump performance, selection, design and specification assistance. In the bid phase, you will review customer requirements and prepare a scope of supply and price offering based on both published and cost-based pricing. You will support the outside sales staff for pricing and details of pumps & related specialty items. During the order phase you will receive and review the order for correctness and enter it into the Company’s system. You will be the point of contact for orders and will coordinate submittal, approval, release to manufacture and delivery time. You will also host customers and sales reps for factory product inspections and pump witness testing.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with pumps, blowers, gearboxes or similar rotating equipment.

  • Strong technical knowledge in all aspects of the wastewater pumping and a proven track record of successful sales support, technical sales and specification influence, as well as managing a complex sales relationship cycle.
  • Must have a sound working knowledge of pumps, motors and related accessories, technical understanding pump operation, performance & application and experience in interpreting specifications into a commercial offering.
  • Ability to engage in cross-functional efforts where cooperation and participating with others is common.
  • Capable of working in a multi task environment where deadlines are critical.
  • Proficient computer skills and working knowledge and use of Office Software.
  • Strong organization & discipline skills to follow up and track quotations. • Strong oral & written communication skills.
  • Customer focused and understanding of the Rep/Engineer/Contractor/End User relationship matrix.
  • To be based in the HQ in Decatur, AL – Part of the Huntsville AL corridor (can offer a relocation package if needed) candidate must be willing to permanently reside within 30-mile radius of 75 Safety Way Decatur Alabama
  • Bachelor’s Degree –Business or Engineering - Preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years industry experience - Preferred but not required
  • Offering a starting salary $45,000 - 65,000 annual (depending on experience)
